AUTHOR'S CORRECTION

Replacement by Drosophila melanogaster Protamines and Mst77F of Histones during Chromatin Condensation in Late Spermatids and Role of Sesame in the Removal of These Proteins from the Male Pronucleus

Sunil Jayaramaiah Raja and Renate Renkawitz-Pohl

Philipps-Universität Marburg, Fachbereich Biologie, Entwicklungsbiologie, 35043 Marburg, Germany

Volume 25, no. 14, p. 6165-6177, 2005. Page 6174, Fig. 7: Upon reanalyzing the male pronucleus in sesame mutant embryos, we obtained results that differed from the ones published. ProtamineA-enhanced green fluorescent protein (eGFP) and ProtamineB-eGFP are removed normally in sesame mutants as shown below, and results are as shown previously for Mst77F-eGFP; thus, Fig. 7G to L should appear as shown below. The additional experiments concerning Mst77F-eGFP in the male pronucleus in sesame mutants confirmed our previous results; a better picture is shown in panel K. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by our error in identification of the male pronucleus in sesame mutant embryos.
