All rights reserved.): Overexpression of Cdc5 in Saccharomyces cerevisiae induces ectopic septal structures within the abnormally elongated buds. In these images, septin rings (green) were visualized with an anti-Cdc10 antibody, whereas nuclei (red) were stained with propidium iodide. Since Cdc5 also localizes at cytokinetic neck filaments, Cdc5 may contribute a signal regulating cytokinesis. (See related article in the January 2000 issue: vol. 20, p. 286.)
