Myocardin transcripts were detected with a ³⁵S-labeled myocardin antisense riboprobe. Myocardin mRNA (white signal) is observed in smooth muscle cell-containing tissues, including the muscularis propria of the small and large intestines and rectum, and in the muscular wall of the bladder.
