About the Cover

Cover Figure

Cover photograph (Copyright © 2005, American Society for Microbiology. All Rights Reserved.): Human c-Myc isoforms can rescue cell growth in Drosophila. Here, wing imaginal discs harbor clones of homozygous wild-type (green) or dmyc mutant (red) cells. The top disc shows the strongly reduced growth of mutant cells relative to wild type. The bottom disc shows the partial restoration of cell growth when the shortest human c-Myc isoform (c-MycS) is expressed in the mutant cells in place of dMyc. (See related article on p. 9897.)
